Galvin Green proudly debuts to the public their latest innovation in rain gear. Introducing the C-Knit Backer Technology collection. Galvin Green has taken their already amazing 2 Layer GORE-TEX jacket and added on a third layer cloes to the body. The first of it’s kind, this third layer easily glides over layering pieces - increasing mobility, flexibility and comfort. Usually, adding a third layer is going to come at a cost but the full zip jacket weighs in at an ultra lightweight of 260 grams for full sleeves and 210 grams for short sleeves. In addition, the fabric blend is 15% more breathable than their other jackets. The complex three-layer system is highly breathable, durable and of course, fully waterproof.
The rubberized cuffs hug closely to your wrist, blocking out water, and keeping the articulated sleeves in place. The goal is less friction, no water intake, and no distraction during your swing.
The same rubberized fabrication is also used at the collar, wrapping around the side and back of your neck to ensure no water drips down from any headwear that might be shooting water away from your head. It is common that one of the entry points for water in a heavy rain is down the neck, so this extra collar prevents this situation. Luckily, the fabric is as soft as it is effective, so it won't cause an abrasion or frustration in putting it on or during your round.
Matching second layer Gore-Tex C-Knit trousers are on call to each player if those drizzles become serious downpours. A refreshing take on the pull on pant, the long zippers at the bottom will be at the back of the leg instead of the side, reducing the chance of water gathering in the shoe and also giving a slimmer overall look.
