Major Rewind | 2021 Masters Tournament
Only 218 days after Dustin Johnson electrified golf fans worldwide with a record-setting performance at Augusta National, patrons were in attendance for a Masters’ experience like no other. For the first time in 2 years, the roars of August National returned along with amazing golf and fashion from the best golfers in the world.
Japan’s Hideki (sp) Matsuyama became the country’s first major champion with an amazing display of ball-striking and steady play over the weekend. Hideki’s preferred look typically consists of solid pants with striped or graphic-designed polo shirts along with a saddle-style shoe to complete a classic look. Explore similar looks below.
Will Zalatoris continued his stellar play heading into his Masters debut resulting in a second-place finish and guarantees his return next April. The rail-thin Texan not only played as if he belonged on the stage with the best golfers in the world, but he also looked the part too. Sporting traditional solid color khakis with traditional fit polos providing a splash of color, Zalatoris’ play and style both looked like he had been there before.
Xander Schauffele provided the Sunday afternoon theatrics until a triple-bogey at the par 3 16th hole derailed any hopes of a back nine comeback. Although Schaufelle is still seeking his first major championship, he collected his 8th top tens and 5th top fives in major championships. Xander sported the three stripes of adidas golf well mixing items from the adicross and Primeknit collections.
Other fashionable looks that caught our eye this week include Tony Finau, Tommy Fleetwood, and Brooks Koepka all rocking the MSTRS NRG Collection polos, Air Zoom Infinity Tour NRG, and Air Max 90s. Billy Horschel was all smiles this week despite finishing T50. Although his game was not quite up to par this week, Billy style was on point at Augusta sporting RLX Ralph Lauren and FootJoy’s Premiere Tarlow Spiked Golf Shoes.
