It’s Players Championship week, which means the biggest names in golf are headed to TPC Sawgrass to compete for the coveted Waterford Crystal Trophy. The tournament is renowned for having one of the strongest fields in professional golf and is considered one of the most prestigious events in the sport. The Players Championship is also known for its iconic 17th hole, which is a par 3 island hole. This hole has become one of the most famous holes in golf, with players often making or breaking their tournament on this hole. Past winners of The Players Championship include some of the most famous names in golf such as Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, and Rory McIlroy. The current champion is Cameron Smith, who won the tournament in 2022.

This year, we have a limited edition Players Championship shoe dropping with Nike to celebrate the tournament. The official colors of the tournament are blue and gold, which is featured on this sneaker with the gold coin tongue logos, contrast stitching, gold-bordered Swoosh and royal blue sock liner. The upper is primarily composed of a combination of white and platinum. White is used on the mid-foot and mudguards, with platinum covering the toe boxes, tongues, laces, and quarter overlays. The full-length overlays feature a brush off effect with palm trees and other plants, while the insoles have the same theme plus the words “Brush Off and Find the Hidden Treasure.”
